Healing Hearts Restoring Hope provides emotional support and programs that promote hope and healing for those affected by homicide including crime victims and survivors, their families and friends; offenders, their families and friends; first responders, court personnel and jurors; the community where the crime occurred.

For almost 30 years, I have ministered within the criminal justice system: 29 years as a chaplain in jails and prisons and 15 years with victims of violence. Over that time, I have come to realize that there is a great need to help all those affected by homicide in their healing process. I have heard murdered victims’ family members still in great pain 25 years after a loved one was killed. A young man in prison spoke about his first memory as a five year old— his mother’s boyfriend having his throat cut in front of him and nothing was done to help him deal with his trauma. My dream started to develop of a non-profit that focused on helping all those affected by murder to heal from their trauma. Healing Hearts Restoring Hope is that dream come true.
